How do I make an order?

You may make an order directly via the website, writing a separate email, calling us, or sending a letter. Our contact information is available in the Contact page of the website. If you are in the Boston area and would like to stop by, you must first call to set up an appointment.

Please note that if you are in a rush to get equipment immediately, then ordering by phone is the best method.

I've decided I want to order online. How do I do this?

Start by simply browsing/searching the website for the products you would like.

After locating an individual product, tailor the product’s options to your specifications (e.g., left-handed grip, French point, etc.), if necessary, by using the drop-down menus. Input the quantity you would like and click on “add to cart”. Continue in this fashion until you have finished finding what you need.

If you want to order the same item with only minor differences in options (for example, a roll of tape in blue and another in red) then you must order them separately.

You may review the contents of your cart at any time by clicking on the Shopping Cart icon at the upper-right corner of the screen.

I've decided I no longer want one of the items I previously selected.

If you would like to remove any items from your cart, simply click on the Shopping Cart icon at the upper-right corner of the screen.

Change the quantity to zero in the box associated with that item and click on “update”. You should no longer see the item in your cart. Use this method to add more or less of the same item.

If you want to empty your cart completely then simply click on “empty cart”. All cart contents will be removed.

OK. I finished finding and selecting my items. Now what?

You are now ready to continue to the Checkout process. Click on the Shopping Cart icon to review your order in its entirety. Once you are satisfied, click on “checkout”.

At this point you will be presented with a screen listing your order as well as a form for you to fill out with your information.

We ask that you fill in all the required fields; otherwise we might not be able to fulfill your order. Shipping information is requested separately in that your billing and shipping addresses might be different.

If they are the same, then click on the “use billing information” radio button to signify this. If they are different, click on the “enter new information” radio button and enter where you’d like your items to be shipped.

We have also added a special Message Box in case you would like to make us aware of anything else particular to your items.

When you have filled in the form, click on “continue”. You will be presented with an additional screen asking you to verify the information that you have input for accuracy. If it is correct, then click on “confirm”; if not, then click on “back” and adjust any mistakes.

Once you click on “confirm”, an email is sent to you and Zivkovic Modern Fencing Equipment, Inc. with details about your order. You may verify this by checking your email at this time!

So then my credit card has been charged and the transaction is done?

Not true. At this point, we only have a record of your order with all its details and information for completing that order.

We will not charge your credit card until the order is fulfilled. In order to do this, we must first check availability and then verify prices and shipping. Only after this process will we charge your card and ship your items.

For that matter, we must insist on stating that prices are always subject to change and items are subject to availability.

I just sent you my credit card information over the Internet. Is it safe?

Ordering online is done via a secure ordering form that uses 128 bit encryption. This is the highest level of encryption available in the USA. All personal data including your credit card information is kept on our server, to which only we have access. We will also not use your personal information for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.

How is shipping calculated?

For domestic orders, shipping is calculated automatically based on a price scale:

$ 0.01 to $10.00 20%
$ 10.01 to $100.00 17%
$ 100.01 and over to be determined as per package weight and dimensions

Shipping and insurance charges are to be paid by the customer.

Again, however, actual shipping charges may be slightly more or less than the stated rate when you order online, depending on the carrier and immediacy of the order. We reserve the right to change this value for the actual cost.

For international orders, we will determine the shipping cost later by email or phone.

All prices are subject to change without notice and are F.O.B. Wellesley Hills, MA, payable in U.S. Dollars only.

What is your return policy?

Returns will be accepted ten days from the date of invoice only for a full refund. The date of invoice is the date we shipped your order.

If your equipment was damaged when you received it, you may send it back to us for an exchange.

If you used any of the items you ordered, you may no longer return it to us for a refund.

Past due invoices will be charged 2% per month or an annual percentage rate of 24%.

Are there risks associated with fencing and using equipment?

You bet there are! Fencing can be a dangerous sport given the nature of the equipment and you fence at your own risk. By using this website you agree to the terms provided herein and waive all rights against Zivkovic Modern Fencing Equipment, Inc. and absolve the company from any liability of any kind.

All disputes between Zivkovic Modern Fencing Equipment, Inc. and purchasers of our equipment will be governed by the courts and law of the state of Massachusetts. All expenses incurred as a result of lawsuits filed against Zivkovic Modern Fencing Equipment, Inc. will be paid by the purchaser.
